Shunned to death!
by koolaid-man inthousands of jehovah's witnesses, and the number could be as high as 100,000, are being disfellowshipped each year in the watchtower org.
their religious policy on disfellowshipping is not biblical, and the punishment is cruel and inhumane.
the punishment of being shunned has many consequences.

Minimus, I suggested the same thing to “Kool-aid man” on another board and he got all paranoid, accusing me of being a WT mole etc etc.

Friends, put more white space in your text. I can't read big fat blobs of text.
by gubberningbody ini can, but i likely won't.. .
in school they teach you to indent and make new paragraphs when changing a subject etc., however the online-media requires more white space for it to be legible.. .
even if you're fascinated with your story, it won't be read by many unless you give us some place to rest and take a breath.. the whitespace is where we get to breathe.. .

Bizarre.

That’s got to be the creepiest exJW site I’ve ever seen – I have no doubt it would scare many JWs away from looking at the site.

Did you use your holiday/vacation to have a holiday from the JW's?
by highdose inlooking back, one of the reasons i used to love getting away was because it allowed me to have a gulit free holiday from the meetings.
i loved arriving somewhere, where no one knew me, my own cong didn't know where i was, if i was attending the meetings or not.
i could just go out on a meeting night, do what i wanted have a meal out with a bottle of wine and no one would ever know!.

I remember the “brothers” saying that just because we go on holidays, it doesn’t mean we’re on holiday from “the truth”….
When I was a kid we regularly went to a beach town where there was a local book study, and went to the meetings in the nearby city. On one or two occasions I remember us going out in field service!!
The best holiday I had as a JW was at a resort at the Great Barrier Reef. No JWs, no meetings, no witnessing. On the Sunday I figured the best alternative to going to a meeting was to go on a yacht cruise. In fact, it was more spiritual than sitting in a stuffy hall for 2 hours. And a much better way to spend the day!

Can some one help me?
by Strider Arekksu inhi, after my grandma past who was in this religion, i was an idiot, and i stayed in the religion as i thought it was the only way to see her again.
my dad stressed because he was inactive but busy supporting our family.she was faithful to the religion, becase like saul she thought she was doing the right thing.. being "black" it was hard for us to support the house we bought in the suburban area.
the dead beat jobs that i could get after high school were not acceptable to me, and i would surely lose my patience with people espeically if i hated the job and was getting paid near minimum wage.

Biologically speaking, we are all Africans in one form or another.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who can’t stand large blocks of text online.

If the GB told the sisters to wear muslim style shrouds, how many would obey do you think?
by highdose inwhen i was in i wouldn't have obeyed that.
but i'm sure they could find some scripture and twist it enough to back them up.. .
seriously would there be a mass revolt?

The WTS would have to be more subtle, first of all they would require that the “sisters” look more like Exclusive Brethren women.
